Does Your Abstract Canvas Art Fit Your Room?
Sometimes, when we go to an Art Gallery or visit a gallery online, we find Abstract Canvas art that we believe we absolutely must have. We may be compelled to have that piece of abstract canvas art for any reason. It could be because we collect artworks done by the artist who created that specific piece of art, or it could be that the piece itself evokes a lot of emotion from us.
There are many reasons why people buy artworks, and when they do, it is to display them in some corner of their house where others can see it and appreciate it for its beauty. The question now would be: What if the piece of abstract canvas art that you bought does not fit your house?
If this is your problem, you do not really have to worry about it. You can either make the room fit your art, or you can have your art fit your room.
Making Abstract Canvas Art Fit a Room
When we purchase a piece of art, sometimes it just does not seem to fit in the room we placed it in. There is nothing wrong with the room itself; the artwork just does not seem to belong to the rest of the room.
Of course, you can be adamant at hanging your abstract canvas art in that particular room. Or you could simply be not up to the challenge of changing the room so you can display your artwork better. In this case, the solution you can turn to is to make alterations to the artwork itself.
This would be quite easy. All you need to do is to frame your artwork, or replace the frame if it already has one. You can either put it in a neutral frame that will enable the painting to fit with the rest of your furniture or decor. Make the Room Fit the Abstract Canvas Art
If you believe that the abstract canvas art you just bought is too beautiful to be framed or reframed, then your other choice would be to change the room itself. This task could be as simple as rearranging your furniture so that all eyes would be focused on the artwork when people enter the room. It could also be a matter of removing some rugs, window treatments or other artworks from the room so that they would not steal attention away from the abstract canvas art you just bought.
The task could also require something drastic, but you are up to it, you can have the whole room redecorated to suit the painting. Or it could be that all that is needed to be done is to remove wallpaper and replace it with neutral paint.
However you do it, what is important is that your abstract canvas art should look like it is part of the room instead of standing out like a sore thumb. Your abstract canvas art, after all, should be a unifying factor in Your Home decorating efforts.

Picture framing kits are one easy way to provide a home for your photographic or other two dimensional artworks. There are many good reasons why you don’t want to simply tack your pictures to the wall, and aesthetics are only one part of it. Without good picture or photography frames, your carefully crafted image will be exposed to the ravages of humidity, airborne pollution and ultraviolet light – with disastrous results. Picture framing kits not only look nice; they help to preserve your work.
What You’ll Need
The great thing about many picture framing kits is that for the most part, you won’t need much in the way of tools other than a good razor or hobby knife (such as an X-Acto™ knife). At a minimum, you’ll need the following framing and matting supplies:
• framing and matting supplies
• Some type of non-porous barrier material
• Back and window mat material
• Photographic paper adhesive or hinges/photo corners
• Glazing (glass or acrylic)
• The frame proper
What types of ready made picture frames are best? That depends on several issues, namely (A) your budget, (B) the type of photo or painting, (C) the décor of the room in which the artifact is to be displayed, and (D) your own personal preference. Wood picture frames are highly attractive and appropriate for almost any kind of image. They can also be very expensive, and depending on the décor of the room in which the artifact is to be displayed, finding just the right selection among available wood picture frames can be challenging.
Metal picture frames appeal to some people, and in fact can enhance the display of Modern Art and/or contemporary urban or abstract landscapes. These come in a wide range of prices, and generally may be less expensive than wood picture frames.
Custom Picture Frames
You won’t generally find these included in picture framing kits, since they are indeed “custom made” to order. However, if your painting or photo prints are of non-standard sizes, it may be necessary to order custom picture frames – or create your own. Advanced picture framing kits sometimes include the kinds of tools you’ll need to create your own custom picture frames, but doing this requires a certain amount of skill.
The Cost
Again, there is a lot of variation here; prices on picture framing kits can range from $30 to $150. Again, this depends on the quality and the kinds of materials and tools that are included. A good rule of thumb when shopping for framing and matting supplies is to purchase the best picture framing kits you can afford.
