What are good beaches in San Diego that have fire rings?
We're going to San Diego in two weeks for vacation and would love to make Smores at the beach. We have 2 small children, so we would love a family-friendly beach. Thanks in advance!
La Jolla Shores is the best of the seaside beaches in San Diego City. It a few new fire rings. and a large grassy area.
If go a bit further north on the cost to Encinitas, Moonlight Beach is on of world's greatest beaches and very family friendly. Another major pulse is the clean and well maintained restrooms. You have to get there early or the fire rings are likely to be taken.
Also on the ocean is South Mission Beach which draws a largely teenage and young-adult crowd. It can be quite family friendly if you stay near the lifeguard towers.
The Crown Point area of Mission Bay has several fire rings on the bay so if the kids wanted to swim it wold be very safe for them. It also has a large grassy area that great for picnicking.
